According to an official statement, YouTube confirmed, “We’re beginning to test a new multiplayer feature for a few select games on YouTube Playables.”

Playables has been in development for over a year, originally offering a free catalog of mini-games exclusively to premium users. However, in May 2024, YouTube expanded access to Playables for all users, broadening its reach and appeal.

The Playables library now includes over 130 games across various categories such as Action, Arcade, Puzzle, Trivia, Racing, Simulation, and Sports. This diverse collection is designed to attract a wide range of users and keep them engaged on the platform.
